With over 19 years of dedicated service in the community sector, Kristen brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her work. Her roles have been as diverse as they are impactful, ranging from providing direct support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities, to leading support teams in Supported Independent Living (SIL) housing. Kristen has also been instrumental in assisting parents with children living with disabilities who were in out-of-home care, as well as excelling in support coordination.

 

Beyond her professional endeavours, Kristen is a proud and nurturing mother to a blended family of five mostly adult boys, encompassing biological sons, stepsons, and a foster son. This personal journey has granted her invaluable firsthand insight into the unique challenges and triumphs faced by parents of children with disabilities.

 

In her leisure time, Kristen finds joy in quality moments with her family, crafting delicious meals that are savoured and appreciated by all. She is an avid reader, with a penchant for non-fiction works, especially those penned by her Favorite author, Cathy Glass. The beach is Kristen's sanctuary, where she wields her cherished 9FT ALLY  902MH fishing rod, finding solace in the rhythm of the waves and the thrill of the catch.

 

Kristen's home is a lively haven, resonating with the harmonious symphony of her cherished animals. A loyal canine companion, an ageless feline friend, two vibrant and talkative parrots, and a school of five Koi bring vibrant energy to her abode. It's a testament to Kristen's nurturing spirit and her love for all creatures great and small.

However, Jacintta humorously advises against any maritime adventures—boats are not her preferred mode of transportation.

With over 5 years of experience working as a School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) in educational settings in New South Wales, Paige has honed her skills in creating inclusive and supportive environments for students with diverse needs.

Outside of her professional life, Paige prioritises quality time with her young family, embarking on nature explorations and discovering new places together. Her desire to experience Greek culture and cuisine reflects her adventurous spirit and curiosity about the world.

She has successfully completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies through the esteemed Taronga Zoo program and is currently in the final stages of attaining her Certificate III in Farming Operations.

 

 Adelaide harbours a profound ambition to one day oversee a therapeutic program involving animals, including a Riding for the Disabled Program. Adelaide attributes part of her own healing of mental health struggles to those of a furry nature.

 

While Adelaide enjoys embracing girly interests, it's important not to underestimate her capabilities. She approaches challenges with a determined spirit, firmly believing that if her male counterparts can excel in a certain field, she can not only match but also surpass their achievements. This sentiment is particularly evident on the Rugby League field, where Adelaide's prowess speaks for itself. Her drive and dedication are evident in every endeavour she undertakes, revealing a future leader in the making.

 

Adelaide's natural, calming demeanour plays a pivotal role in her interactions with others. Ollie is a vibrant person who recently returned from a year-long adventure in Canada, where he worked at the prestigious Whistler ski resort. Ollie adds a vibrant personality to our team as a support worker. With a background as a sporting instructor, and life and event assistant at local events in Maitland and ski races in Canada, Ollie has exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with people.
